International students have a number of opportunities to come to AGH UST for both studies and internships. Stays of international students can last from 2 months to one year.
Students have the opportunity to come to AGH UST within exchange programs and bilateral agreements.
The most popular exchange programmes are Erasmus+, SMILE and CEEPUS.
AGH UST has signed numerous agreements with universities around the world. A list of applicable agreements is available on the website of the Department of International Relations HERE.
Procedure for dealing with applications in terms of exchange programs, bilateral agreements and internships is very similar.
The Department for International Students deals only with applications of first- and second-cycle students. In matters related to doctoral student applications, please contact the AGH Doctoral School.
In order to start the application procedure, international students should check the validity of the bilateral agreement. On the basis of the agreement the partner university sends the so-called nomination to AGH UST, informing about a student applying for arrival.
Nominations should be sent to the address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Department for International Students will contact the appointed students informing about the details of the application procedure.
If the university does not have a valid bilateral agreement, please contact the Department of International Relations (email@example.com).
The Department for International Students does not sign new bilateral agreements.
The Department for International Students contacts the nominated students informing about the details of the application procedure, deadlines and required documents.
All students are required to provide the following documents:
transcript of records from subjects completed at the home university in previous years confirmed by the sending university,
a scan of passport page or other identity document with a photo and personal data,
a certificate confirming knowledge of English at the minimum level of B2 (according to the Council of Europe scale) or a certificate confirming knowledge of Polish - depending on the language in which the classes are conducted; we also accept a certificate confirming language competences issued by the home university of an international student,
an official photo (passport format).
Deadlines for submitting and sending application documents:
June 30 - students appointed for the winter semester (October-February) or for the whole year (October-June)
November 30 - students appointed for the summer semester (February-June)
Student nominations sent by partner universities are considered first. Additional student nominations (outside the agreement limit) and the so-called freemovers are considered at a later date, if places are available.
AGH UST Department for International Students verifies application documents and gives access to enrolment in courses.
Nominated students enrol in the courses available in the education offer in a given academic year.
The offer of the AGH UST International Courses (UBPO) is addressed to all AGH UST students (exchange students and regular students). Access to some courses is limited.
The rules for enroling in courses are available on the website: https://www.intcourses.agh.edu.pl/
Department for International Students consults courses selected by the student with the student's academic supervisor at AGH UST.
An international student sends a scan of the Learning Agreement (LA) to the Department for International Students. The document must be signed by the student and the representative of the sending university. Then, the Department for International Students coordinates the signature on the part of the academic supervisor at AGH UST.
The Department for International Students only accepts the LA with a list of courses for which the student has enrolled.
A similar procedure applies to internships and the so-called Training Agreement.
After a positive consideration of the application and signing the LA, the Department for International Students issues an acceptance letter.
The acceptance letter informs the student for what period and for which faculty he was admitted and who is his supervisor during his stay at AGH UST.
The student also receives information on what to do as soon as they arrive at AGH UST, the possibility of living at AGH UST Student Campus, the Erasmus Student Network and insurance requirements during his stay in Poland.
Upon arrival, students are required to come to the AGH UST Department for International Students. Students will receive information about the University, documents and the so-called Welcome Pack.
