The Halina Nieć Legal Aid Centre in Krakow began its implementation of a project co-financed from the European Fund for the Integration of Third-Country Nationals "Welcome to Poland! - supporting the integration of third-country nationals through legal assistance and anti-discrimination" on 1 July 2009.
The project's assumption is free legal aid to non-nationals who are not citizens of the European Union and are legally residing in the Republic of Poland, in accordance with the regulations of the Act of 13 June 2003 on non-nationals (Journal of Laws of 2006, No. 234, item 1694) and non-nationals who meet the conditions of entry and stay within Polish territory, in particular those who have the prospect of living in Poland for a period of at least 12 months and who hold, among others, visa for repatriation, visa for resettlement as a member of the immediate family of a repatriate, visa for exercising the rights arising from the possession of a Pole's Card.
