Payment for the first semester:
if you start studies in October – pay until 15 October,
if you start studies in February/March – pay until 15 March.

Payment for the next semesters:
for winter semester – pay until 30 September,
for summer semester – pay until 15 March.

Fees may be converted into Polish zlotys at the average euro exchange rate of the National Bank of Poland on the day of payment.

As an international student, you will be admitted to the AGH University on a fee-payment basis

However, if you have started/are studying full-time studies in Polish language and have one of the documents listed below, please submit it to the University before starting your studies/next semester.

Tuition fee for full-time studies in Polish language is not collected from:

  • holder of a valid Card of the Pole (Karta Polaka) or a holder of decision on Polish descent;
  • holder of a permanent residence permit or a holder of a European Community long-term residence permit;
  • holder of a refugee status in Poland or has been granted temporary or complementary protection in the Republic of Poland;

Citizens of Ukraine who came to Poland from Ukraine since February 24, 2022 in connection with hostilities carried out on the territory of this country have temporary protection until March 4, 2027.

Those who have received from the Office for Foreigners a certificate of temporary protection with an expiry date of March 4, 2023, September 4, 2023, March 4, 2024, March 4, 2025 or March 4, 2026 do not need to apply for new documents. Certificates issued will remain valid until March 4, 2027.

  • holder of a certificate confirming their command of Polish language at minimum level C-1, issued by the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language;
  • a citizen of a Member State of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation or a Member State of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) - a party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area and members of their family residing in the Republic of Poland;
  • citizen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and members of their family, residing in the Republic of Poland; 
  • holder of a temporary residence permit issued for the purposes of family reunification (the decision granting a permit must include Art. 159 section 1 of the Act on non-nationals);
  • holder of a temporary residence permit due to the fact that he/she is a holder of a European Community long-term residence permit issued in another EU country (Art. 186 section 1 subsection 3 of Act on non-nationals)
  • holder of a temporary residence permit issued due to the fact that he/she is a member of the family of a holder of a European Community long-term residence permit issued in another EU country (Art. 186 section 1 subsection 4 of Act on non-nationals)
  • spouse, ascendant (parent) or descendant (child) of Polish citizen residing in the Republic of Poland;
  • holder of a temporary residence permit in connection with the circumstances referred to in Art. 151 paragraph 1 or Art. 151b paragraph 1 of the Act on non-nationals, or a scientist staying in Poland in connection with the use of short-term mobility under the conditions specified in Art. 156b paragraph 1 of that Act or holding a national visa for the purpose of conducting scientific research or development work
  • holder of a temporary residence permit for the purpose of performing work in a profession requiring high qualifications (Art. 127 of the Act on non-nationals).

Exemption from tuition fees: if you are qualified for studies and you have a decision of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), a decision of the minister or a letter from NAWA - your financial conditions at the AGH University will be determined in accordance with this decision (e.g. exemption from tuition fees).

Part-time students with the Card of the Pole, permanent residence card, C-1 certificate or another document specified above also pay fees according to the table in the "Tuition fee - part-time studies" section.

In recruitment for the 2025/2026 academic year, the recruitment fee for each field of study is the following:

  • for Bachelor studies:
    • PLN 85 for each declared field of study if you do not take the math exam organized by the AGH University;
    • PLN 100 for each declared field of study if you take the math exam organized by the AGH University;
  • for Master studies:
    • PLN 85 for each declared field of study for which there is no entrance exam;
    • PLN 100 for each declared field of study for which there is an entrance exam.

Pay for the declarations separately for individual forms (full-time/part-time) and levels (Bachelor/Master) of studies. The combined payment of declarations, e.g. for full-time and part-time Bachelor studies, may result in problems with proper crediting of payments.

Pay via the fast electronic payment system or to the account number provided in the e-Rekrutacja system.

The date of payment is considered as a date of crediting the operator's electronic payments or the day of crediting the AGH University bank account.

In case of transfer the recruitment fee does not apply.

The cost of issuing a student ID in the form of an electronic smart card (ELS) is PLN 22.
